  • I am a WNC native, having grown up in Lake Lure and attended school in Asheville. After earning my undergraduate degree from Wake Forest and my law degree from Washington & Lee, I returned to Asheville and practiced law with the firm of Roberts & Stevens, PA in the areas of defense litigation, environmental, and education law. Deciding against a career in litigation, I shifted my focus to tax and transactional law as an Attorney with the accounting firm of Burleson, Earley & Keel, PLLC. There I also served as a Staff Accountant, providing clients with tax services, audit support, record keeping and financial strategy. In 2008, I left that position to spend more time with my three children. During that time I also kept busy participating in two family owned businesses. As my children became more independent, I decided to pursue a career in Mediation.

Mediation allows me to apply all of the knowledge that I have gained over the years, my legal skills, my financial understanding, and my education in Psychology, to help people solve their disputes more efficiently and effectively than through traditional legal channels. After extensive training and study, I founded Asheville Mediation, LLC to provide a full range of mediation services.
